Code of conduct

What we expect of everyone

Respectful participation

Treat every attendee, speaker, sponsor, volunteer and member of venue staff with professional respect, in sessions, in breaks and online.

No harassment

Harassment, intimidation, discrimination or unwelcome attention of any kind is not tolerated, including comments related to gender, identity, age, disability, appearance, race, ethnicity, religion or seniority.

Constructive debate

Challenge ideas and evidence, not people. Clinical and scientific disagreement is welcome; personal attacks are not.

Consent for capture

Ask before photographing, recording or posting another attendee, and respect any request not to share the content of an unpublished result.

Patient confidentiality

Never present identifiable patient data. Ensure all case material shown on stage or on a poster is fully de-identified.

Reporting

Report any concern to a member of the organising team on site, or by email. Reports are handled confidentially and may result in removal from the conference without refund.

Accessibility

Attending should not be an obstacle

Tell us what you need at least three weeks before the conference and we will confirm the arrangement with the venue in writing.

  • Step-free access to all session rooms at the venue.
  • Reserved seating near the front of each room on request.
  • Dietary accommodations for all catered sessions.
  • Quiet space available during the conference day.
  • Advance copies of slides for attendees who request them.
