Dr. Sina Heydari is a Lecturer and Research Associate in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Santa Clara University. He completed his Ph.D. at USC’s Bio-inspired Motion Lab, under the guidance of Professor Eva Kanso. His research combines physics-based models with data-driven approaches, particularly Reinforcement Learning, to study and control dynamical systems.
Previously, Sina interned as a Machine Learning Engineer at Twitter, focusing on knowledge graph embedding. In addition to his research, he teaches a wide range of undergraduate and graduate-level courses, applying his expertise to solve problems in biophysics and engineering.
