Dr. Salah Al-Zaiti, PhD, RN, FAHA, is the Independence Foundation Chair in Cardiovascular Nursing and professor at the University of Rochester, bridging healthcare and advanced technology. A clinician, researcher, and innovator, he leads NIH-funded trials on AI-enabled clinical decision support tools, securing over $8M in funding since 2013. With over 250 publications, including in Nature Medicine and Circulation, he developed a machine learning tool for chest pain classification, earning the 2024 AHA Research Article of the Year Award. Dr. Al-Zaiti also serves as editor-in-chief of Heart & Lung and on leadership committees, advancing cardiovascular research and care.
