Seneka Gainer, Ph.D., LPC-S, LMFT-S, NCC

Dr. Seneka Gainer is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Director at Jacksonville University with nearly two decades of experience in counseling, counselor education, and supervision. She is also the owner of a private counseling practice, where she provides clinical services and supervises emerging professionals, and serves as the Clinical Content Lead for Inner Peak AI, where she develops innovative mental health resources and tools. Her research focuses on counselor development, the integration of relational and systemic approaches in training, and preparing counselors to address the needs of marginalized populations. Dr. Gainer’s work emphasizes the use of microskills, social justice frameworks, and innovative tools such as AI to enhance education and advocacy, advancing the counseling profession’s commitment to equity and ethical practice.
